A perfect read for those stay at home snowy days!
Burke Devereaux is the last single werewolf in his family of mated couples. To dodge the pressure of his incessant Pack, he decides to take some much needed vacation time and hit the slopes at his cabin up in the snowy mountains. His vacation comes to an unexpected halt when he stumbles upon a hit gone bad and a beautiful woman in need of his help with an incoming blizzard. Burke’s number one rule is never get involved with humans, but his heart gets the best of him and he refuses to leave her behind. His plan to get Kendall to safety until the storm clears in his cabin proves stronger than his own rules and awakens a desire too strong to fight for this Cajun werewolf.
STRANDED WITH A CAJUN WEREWOLF is a sexy short novella with a swoon worthy hero and a compelling plot. Burke and Kendall are strong characters separately but when you put these two together in close quarters it’s magic! Both are trying to escape their fates and marriage when destiny allows them to cross paths and find love in an unconventional set up. The author does a great job of slowly developing their romance instead of rushing things, even with the undeniable attraction Burke and Kendall share (trust me it’s worth the wait!).
A little suspense and mystery is thrown into the mix and makes for a great revelation at the story’s climax (I’m not sharing any more!). The ending is executed beautifully with the appearance of Burke’s family and the happily ever after you yearn for the leading couple. While reading STRANDED WITH A CAJUN WEREWOLF, I learned it’s the last book in the Stormy Weather series, and although Burke’s story can be read as a stand alone, I would recommend reading the series from its start (like I plan on doing soon!). Selena Blake has introduced me to some sexy Southern Alphas and I plan on enjoying each one. I might know how the story ends for the Devereaux Pack but I’m intrigued to see how it all began!
