I’m pleased to welcome Faye Robertson, author of Bloodlust to the blog today. Faye is chatting about herself and her latest vampire romance release which is both fun and sexy, so let’s get right to the good stuff…
FR: Umm… I was born in Germany (Dad in the British Army). I have an honours degree in archaeology (specializing in deserted medieval villages). I have a level 85 Night Elf Druid in World of Warcraft. Not sure which of those is the most dull.
RTD: Bloodlust features a vampire with a unique fetish for nuns…what was the inspiration for his character?
FR: I love Angel and Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but they weren’t the inspiration as such. Part of my degree covered Cistercian monasteries and monks and nuns (it was more interesting than it sounds) and so I’ve always had an interest in cloistered societies. I think I was just fascinated with the idea of corruption—not only that Jasper turned the nuns, but that he took away their innocence.
FR: The scene in the restaurant made me laugh, where they’re yelling insults at each other and everyone’s listening. I could see that very clearly in my head.
FR: Don’t bite nuns! Um, no, seriously. No message. I’m not that deep.
FR: Vampire with a nun fetish gets his comeuppance.
FR: I’m not sure there are any. Are there? I don’t read a lot of vampire fiction actually. There’s blood—lots of it—and biting. And Jasper can cast a kind of glamour thing—you know, the Alec Guinness “these are not the droids you are looking for” stuff.
FR: Jude Law and Scarlett Johansson.
FR: A little nook in the corner of our computer room. We have six computers in the house, LOL! The room kind of resembles the space shuttle on a bad day.
FR: Charlaine Harris, mainly because I have an Eric Northman crush.
FR: I’m re-reading the Fifty Shades trilogy. I have a Christian Grey crush. I have lots of crushes.
FR: No, that’s all folks. But I may well delve into the underworld again one day. Keep your eyes peeled.
Just for fun:
Favorite movie/TV vampire? Angel! Spike. No, umm, Blade. Ooh…
If you were stranded on a deserted island and could only pick one person, who would you want for company? Eric Northman. No, obviously I meant my darling hubby…
What’s your current guilty pleasure? Chocolate. Always.
Morning person or night owl? Morning, definitely. Although I am grumpy until I’ve had my latte.
Coffee or tea? See above.
Summer or Winter? Summer! Always. I hate the cold. Hence me moving to a sub-tropical part of the world.
FR: And thanks very much for having me here!
She would much rather immerse herself in reading or writing romance than do the dusting and ironing, which is why it’s not a great idea to pop around if you have any allergies. You can check out all her books at www.fayerobertsonromance.com.

Some vampires had a thing for B+. Some preferred redheads. Others preferred blondes.
For Jasper, it had to be nuns–and he’s been regretting that since the day he bit Amabel de Woodville, almost two centuries ago.
She’d done something to him. Something that restored his conscience, pointed his moral compass straight north, and ended his career of seducing virgin nuns and killing as he pleased. But even worse–she’d gotten under his skin, and he hasn’t forgotten the green-eyed witch who’d been immune to his charms.
When Amabel ends up in his office, still as young as the day they’d met and seeking a charity sponsor, Jasper has the chance he’s ached for: to show her the pleasure that’s haunted her dreams for decades. He’s taken the virginity of a hundred nuns…but a vampire nun? That’s new.
And Jasper has always enjoyed a challenge.
