Happy Friday! Today I’m excited to be hosting a stop on the FANGS, FUR, & MISTLETOE tour by fabulous Selena Blake. Selena’s promoting her sexy new release just in time for the holidays and is sharing a bit about her latest book…and yes, there’s also a giveaway!

By Selena Blake
Have you ever seen someone across the room and felt an instant attraction? You know the signs: short of breath, tight in the chest, warm and tingly…elsewhere?
I have. It doesn’t happen too often. But when it does, I sit back and enjoy the spark. Okay, so I daydream about it and ultimately fuel it into my stories.
Have you ever acted on that attraction? It’s one thing to walk up to the hottie at the office holiday party, but what if the other person was your enemy? Forbidden? Would you still walk up to said hottie?
There’s something to be said for the power of attraction. That initial interest can cause you to act irrationally. Forget your carefully laid plans. Do something you normally wouldn’t. Go against your friends and family.
For Romeo & Juliet the spark of attraction was undeniable. And that spark ultimately lead to their death. But do you remember those first moments of attraction? And the point of no return? For me, these four lines sealed the deal. If I were Juliet, I would have fallen head over heels for Romeo right then and their.
JULIET
And palm to palm is holy palmers’ kiss.
ROMEO
Have not saints lips, and holy palmers too?
JULIET
Ay, pilgrim, lips that they must use in prayer.
ROMEO
O, then, dear saint, let lips do what hands do;
What if it wasn’t just your family at war, but your whole species? In my latest release, Fangs, Fur & Mistletoe, the heroine (a vampire) and the hero (a werewolf) were once at war with each other. In fact, they met on the battlefield.
But their attraction was instant. Intense. Unforgettable. And it lasts for well over one hundred years.
Have you ever met someone that you’d remember a hundred years from now? Me? Well, a girl doesn’t kiss and tell.

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Vampiress Coco Jeffress has one week to get her mojo back. After a long sexual drought, Mystic Isle, the exclusive pleasure playground for paranormals, is just what the doctor ordered. For once she’s choosing lust over love.
Tall, dark, and oh-so-handsome werewolf Grayson West is well versed in the arts of war and women. He’s got one week to blow off some steam before he heads back into the field and he’s more than willing to help a lady find her inner vixen.
Especially when she’s the same beautiful blue eyed vamp he met one hundred years ago and has never been able to forget. They were once sworn enemies, pulled apart by war. Now they’re lovers. But history has a way of rearing its ugly head and their new relationship will have to stand up to the test of loyalty, friendship and even time itself.
Thanks for sharing the interesting post, seems like it’ll be a great read.
As for your question in the rafter, it all really depends on what I am interested in reading when I pick up a title.. As for why the reason would be for something unknown or taboo..
Thanks for an awesome post! I guess it depends on my mood 🙂 I’m very much a mood reader.
I enjoy forbidden romances as part of the mix I read as long as the reason to keep them apart seems reasonable and not completely flimsy.
I should hope “our species are at war” is not flimsy, Anne. 🙂
Forbidden romances have a mystique and element of danger attached to them, which enhances the reading experience. Let’s face it; the unknown always draws the reader in more than the predictable.
Thank you for the blog, and Fangs, Fur & Mistletoe is the first in what I’m sure will be another amazing series by Ms Blake!
I love forbidden romances. They are more exciting to read. Thanks for the giveaway. Tore923@aol.com
That is how I live vicariously through my books 😉

I love forbidden romances because they allow me to live out some pretty raunchy desires. <3 <3
I do find the enjoyable to read because it just adds to the overall drama of the story.
I do not find forbidden romances more enjoyable.
because a lot more exciting and danger attached with story.
I don’t think I’ve read any forbidden romance stories. Interesting to find out WHY they are forbidden.
I really don’t focus on forbidden romances. Too often I find the “forbidden” reason doesn’t really exist and it’s in the h/h’s mind. I will read a story that I may not agree with the reasoning, but there needs to be a plot factor that is moving the story along.
