2014 Audiobook Challenge Wrap-Up

Posted 31 December, 2014 by Lori @ Romancing the Dark Side in Challenges / 9 Comments

So it’s the end of the year and that means that it’s time for the results of my 2014 Audiobook Challenge, hosted by The Book Nympho and Hot Listens. Well, when I first signed up for this challenge I was in between jobs so I thought oh, yeah I can definitely nail this challenge, I have some spare time right now. Things were good for a while and then I started my new job which allowed me no time for reading/listening!

I really feel bummed out that I wasn’t able to reach my goal this year because I was just really starting to enjoy the world of audiobooks. I’m slowly getting back into reading and hope that I will meet or even surpass my goal in 2015! Yes, I’m a glutton for punishment so I’ll be signing up for the challenge next year. Don’t judge me. πŸ™‚

Have a Happy New Year everyone!

Newbie (I’ll give it a try) 1-5 audio books

Binge Listener (Why read when someone can do it for you) 20-30 audiobooks

  1. OK:)
Jim Butcher! I hope you liked it, I remember having a little of hard time getting used to the narrator, but but after a little he just becoes perfect for the books πŸ™‚
Ah Ruthless, you know how I feel about that one.
I hope you have a wonderfull 2015, and that everything you want comes true!

    • I love James Marsters so it was a great listen for me, although I like his British accent more but unfortunately Harry doesn’t have a British accent…LOL I’m up to book 3 in that series, I’ve just slacked off on the reviews! Wishing you and yours a great New Year’s and lots of new great reads! xoxo

  2. I just ended up in your review for Ruthless and commented. Then I saw that it was from July..better late then never I guess πŸ™‚

  3. I just started listening to audiobooks last year, too, Lori, and for 2015 I’m signing up for the challenge as well.
I think 3 is quite good, especially if you started a new job that didn’t really leave you with much time for reading or listening at all.
    Happy New year!!

I’ve probably listened 15 audiobooks in 2014; I listen every day on my way to work and back…I’ve already listened to one in 2015.
Darynda Jones, Chloe Neill, Kristen Ashley, Terry Spear, Nora Roberts and JD Robb, Julie Garwood and many more…
