Vampire attacks are on the rise in the city that never sleeps. So why is half-human, half-Drow private eye Nyx tracking down Sprites? Sure, these “young bloods” are causing mischief all over town—like painting the Statue of Liberty’s toenails neon pink. But it’s not until Nyx finds herself at the Pit, Manhattan's hottest nightclub for paranorms, that she understands what she’s really up against…

Seems Master Vampire Volod has a plan—and the Sprites are in on it. By targeting the weaknesses of every paranorm in the city, from Elves to Shifters to Zombies, Volod and his fang gang aim to rule the night once and for all. Over Nyx’s dead body. She loves a good challenge—and she will seduce danger at every turn to throw Volod off course. It’s time for Nyx to enter the beating heart of this dark conspiracy…before driving a stake through it.

Fangtastic

Can’t get enough of Cheyenne’s Night Tracker series!

Nyx’s life is anything but easy. As a private investigator by day and Drow-princess and warrior at night, Nyx has had to face many paranorm foes, first demons, then werewolves and now she faces the worst of them all, vampires. What’s starts off as a night tracking mischievous Sprites is only a diversion of what the vampires have in store for the paranorms of Manhattan. Vampires are tired of being the outcasts of the paranormal world and their leader and master vampire Volod has a secret weapon that can put vampires on top of the food chain. It’s now up to Nyx and her team of trackers to put an end to the evil vampires and take back the city which could entail more than Nyx bargained for!

This series has really made me a true fan of urban fantasy! The world building is amazing and the characters will appeal to both paranormal and urban fantasy fans. Nyx is a kick-ass heroine with a feminine side and keeps a great sense of humor despite the chaotic life she leads. There’s some personal growth for her this time around when she learns let go of her prejudices against other paranormal beings for the greater good.

The story was non-stop action that keeps you turning the pages in anticipation! All of the supporting characters I’ve grown to love make an appearance, a few new characters are introduced and of course the story wouldn’t be complete without an evil villain! Vampires Not Invited is a compelling story with action, a little sexy romance and an ending that will leave you wanting more! Although great as a stand-alone, I’d recommend being introduced to this wonderful world by the first in the series, Demons Not Included.
