As a member of the Order of the Round Table, Kendall Lake is overqualified to be investigating strange phenomena at a seaside photography studio. But since the photographer is related to the Order's most powerful sorcerer, Kendall reluctantly boards a dirigible to Brighton.

Amy Deland is haunted by a shadow that appears in some of her recent portraits. In each case, the subject died within days of the sitting. Does she have her grandmother's gift of foresight, or has she somehow caused the deaths?

As Kendall and Amy search for answers, their investigation draws them together in a most improper way—but it seems the evil presence in the studio is determined to keep them apart...

A genius mix of steampunk and magic…just as fun and flirty as the first!

Lord Kendall Lake is a member of the Order of the Round Table on assignment regarding some supernatural occurrences at a photography studio owned by Amy Deland, the niece of the Order’s most
powerful member. Amy’s photographs are the common link in a series of recent unexplained deaths and Lord Kendall has been dispatched to investigate the case. Kendall expects Ms. Deland to be an old maid but when he sees she’s a young attractive photographer, his assignment goes from boring to interesting. While investigating this mystery, Kendall and Amy are drawn more to each other and will have to face the evil that is determined to intervene in their new found happiness.

PHOTOGRAPHS & PHANTOMS is a great companion to Steam & Sorcery. I absolutely love this world the author has created, combining technology and the supernatural elements work perfectly together. Seeing old faces from the previous book was a great surprise but doesn’t take away from main story: Kendall and Amy. The intensity of their attraction builds with each chapter and is very steamy once they get each other to themselves! The main characters are both charming and well developed with a depth you would find in a full-on novel and not a novella. An intriguing world, mystery and romance make this a delightful afternoon read while enjoying a good cup of tea or coffee!

I truly hope the author continues to write more great stories to add to the series, I’ll be keeping my eyes open for the next installment!
