After living on the streets of New York City for over a decade, Logan Ellis admits her perceptions might be a little skewed. But twisted or not, there’s a satisfying irony in watching a well dressed vampire stand in the middle of a ghetto alley, windblown trash scraping small circles near his feet. What she finds even more intriguing, is waiting for him to decide whether or not he’s going to kill her.

Kerestyan Nelek hasn’t quite made up his mind. As the Lord of New York, he can’t allow a homeless drug addict, whose memories are packed with knowledge of vampiric existence, to run free in his city. It’s not the first time he’s been in this situation with a human, it’s just the first time in thousands of years he’s come face to face with one who doesn’t seem to care. And that’s what makes the decision so damn difficult.

What horrors would you have to witness before you went numb? How many years would it take for you to feel that way? What would it take to make you care again?

Logan’s answers are simple: the worst humanity has to offer, almost thirty… and something she never expected.

A dark romance that will leave you breathless and wanting more!

Logan is a heroine addict, who has lived most of her life in the streets. She has a jaded view of life and is emotionally detached from the world after experiencing some unfortunate events in her own life. When she witnesses a group of vampires fighting one night in an alley, she’s not at all surprised. Living in the streets, she’s seen her fair share of monsters and knows the best way to survive is to walk away and not get involved. Showing no fear, Logan attempts to pass by the gang of vampires, when she’s spotted by Kerestyan Nelek, a centuries old vampire who also happens to be the Lord of New York. Kerestyan is not only awed by Logan’s behavior but by her apparent knowledge of vampires. Keeping their existence secret is high priority and now her future lies in his hands. Interested in learning more about the fearless Logan, Kerestyan makes a decision that will forever change both their lives.

Logan Ellis is not your typical drop dead gorgeous or strong and powerful heroine. She’s quite flawed but that is why she’s so intriguing and admirable. She’s rude, sarcastic and an addict. As first impressions go, Logan seems like the exact opposite of what a leading lady should be in a paranormal romance but the author’s execution of her character is brilliant. She shows you the dark side of her personality but also gives you a little glimpse of the softer side Logan can ultimately have. While I was hoping for a little less emotional disconnect with Kerestyan by the end of the book, her actions are somewhat understandable when you’ve delved into her past. Logan is a diamond in the rough who gets an unconventional second chance and learns to live and possibly love again.

Kerestyan Nelek is the quintessential Alpha male in the story. He’s dark, brooding and sexy as hell! As a centuries old vampire, you’d expect him to be the distant and emotionally detached one in the story but that’s not the case, Kerestyan exudes more humanity than Logan does at times. His ability to rule his city with an iron fist yet show such tenderness when it comes to Logan, showcases two of his best attributes: strength and compassion. Kerestyan is the perfect hero, he’s loyal, charming and never comes off as too possessive. What I love the most about him is the patience he has with Logan adjusting to her new life, his world and how he accepts her for who she is unconditionally. Oh and the sex between these two: ULTRA HOT! I could go on and on about how much I love his character but I’ll let you find out for yourselves!

The secondary characters are just as complex as our main characters and all bring their own charm to the table. They uphold the plot and make things a little more interesting without taking the spotlight away from Logan and Kerestyan. You won’t meet any “woe is me” vampires in this book, they embrace who they are and do not apologize for it. My favorite addition to the story is Kerestyan’s twin brother Odin, he definitely knows how to get noticed with his good looks and sarcastic mouth and I instantly fell in love! If anyone needs their own book it’s Odin (I’m talking to you Ms. Turner!).

The world Jennifer Turner has created in this book is dark, gritty, mystical, humorous, sexy and romantic all in one. It has some urban fantasy elements with the heart of a paranormal romance. ETERNAL SEDUCTION is a new look into the vampire world with first class characters, plenty of mystery, secrets and enough romance to seduce you!
