Someone is kidnapping and incinerating otherworlders beyond recognition, and detective Marisol Whitman, a succubus, races to find the murderer before he claims another victim. But her pursuit is derailed when her responsible younger sister vanishes. Marisol suspects foul play and enlists support from an unlikely source: an agent from the Otherworlder Enforcement Agency, Valerio Costa.
When the trail pointing to everyone from vampires to witches dries up, Agent Costa admits to knowing more than he's shared. Marisol's sister's kidnapper harnesses more magic than she can imagine--and they're running out of time. To find her sister before her powers are drained and twisted beyond recognition, Marisol must connect the dots between cases and put her trust in Costa, a salamander who may burn her before she can solve either case.

Action packed with mystery and fiery sexiness!
The second installment of the Files of the Otherworlder Enforcement Agency introduces us to another detective, Marisol Whitman, who’s also a succubus. Her latest case is tracking down a serial murderer who’s targeting otherworlder women. When her younger sister disappears, Marisol’s hunt for the killer intensifies and she’s forced to team up with agent Valerio Costa from the Otherworlder Enforcement Agency. Having a new partner is not what Marisol had in mind but to save her sister she’ll have to trust Costa and his secretive nature.
SUCCUBUS LOST is another original and satisfying read by Tiffany Allee. I really enjoy the strong and powerful heroines the author creates, they’re smart, sassy and have smart mouths but also have a softness that makes them likeable. Marisol (which also happens to be my sister’s name!) is a great leading lady who plays by her own rules but still has some insecurities when it comes to romance and the label many give her for being a succubus. She’s loyal and persistent and I love that she’s willing to step right into danger in order to save her sister and only family. Her relationship with Valerio starts off rocky with both making assumptions about the other and you can’t help but love all the sexual tension between the two. I’ve read my share of paranormals but don’t think I’ve come across any salamanders until now and never saw them as sexy but Ms. Allee changed my mind with Valerio Costa! He’s dark, mysterious with a little bad boy in him that makes him irresistible. He’s an alpha male but isn’t afraid to let his guard down when it comes to love, you gotta love that!
With all its suspense, diverse characters and a hate-worthy villain, SUCCUBUS LOST is a book you’ll want to read in one sitting. The storyline is engaging and the fate of the hero and heroine will keep you turning the pages. If you love a great police mystery mixed in with the paranormal, add this book and series to your list!
*Note: Although second in the series, Succubus Lost can be read as a stand alone.
