A perfect steamy read for any season…guaranteed to heat things up!
In this wicked tale of forbidden romance, we meet Sasha and Damon Frost, a werewolf and dragon who are star crossed lovers that shared a passionate affair in their youth which ended due to their different races. Now all grown up, Sasha, a werewolf, is next in line for the throne. When tensions flare in a struggle to claim the Feralon’s hot springs, neutral territory for both Weres and dragons (and their once romantic rendezvous spot), Damon returns to Feralon with orders from his queen to negotiate terms. Seeing Damon is something Sasha never anticipated and their loyalties to their pack and clan are put to the test when old feelings resurface and threaten to tear them apart once again.
FORBIDDEN BY FATE is a short but satisfying romance with a unique pairing of a hero and heroine. Dragon shifters are fascinating to me so I was thrilled when I read our hero is just that. Damon is a swoon-worthy hero, he definitely plays the Alpha role until Sasha comes into the picture and his feelings for her take over and show us his sexy but romantic side. His sacrifice for loving Sasha makes him that more appealing as a leading man. What’s the icing on the cake with Damon you ask? Well he actually shifts into a real sized dragon which blew me away!
Sasha is an equally appealing heroine. She’s lost the only man she’s loved and now has to step into the role as Alpha of her pack while the potential of war looms over her head. I would have liked her character to have been a little more aggressive and feisty but enjoyed her nonetheless, any woman that steals a dragon’s heart is worthy in my book. Sparks fly when these two lovers come together for a second chance at love! I love how they’re all over each other one minute and confessing their truths to each other the next.
This is one of those stories you start off reading and quickly get immersed in and end up reading in one sitting! The world building is magical with an original story line and likeable characters. The story moves at a fast pace and gives us closure with a happily ever after we crave in paranormal romance. FORBIDDEN BY FATE is wild, sweet and satisfying…you’ll root for Sasha and Damon’s forbidden love with the turn of every page!
