Hello Romancing the Dark Side! Thanks for letting me take over the blog today.

Since it’s the month of love, I thought I’d talk about things I love to hear (or see) my readers say. Maybe this list will give you some ideas on how to make your favorite author’s day.

Ready?

1.  I’m telling all my friends about you/your book/series.

I am always excited to talk books with my friends. And the excitement is even greater when one of us has read a really awesome book. There’s something very satisfying about being able to relate to others about a story.

I love the idea that readers are chatting with their friends about my work.

2.  I loved your series. I’ve read them all!

No one forces us to read an entire series, so when a reader does, it’s all the more gratifying to me as an author. It means they stuck it out through all the highs and lows.

3.  I’m off to reread your book/series.

I reread my favorites. It’s a rush when readers put my work into that coveted classification. To me it’s right up there with being on a reader’s auto-buy list.

4.  Selena Blake is an auto-buy for me.

There are a handful of authors on my auto-buy list. To be on anyone’s auto-buy list is a dream come true and just one more reason to work hard at making my current book better than the last.

5.  I reviewed your book…

Reviewing takes time. I don’t always do it myself. But ratings and reviews mean a lot, to me as an author and a reader. I rely on reviews for pretty much everything these days, so I really appreciate when readers take the time to review my work.

How about you? What really makes your day? What would you love to hear more of? Do you actively review books and other products and services? How about rereading? Are you a rereader? Do you have a keeper shelf?

FANGS, FUR & MISTLETOE

Vampiress Coco Jeffres has one week to get her mojo back. After a long sexual drought, Mystic Isle, the exclusive pleasure playground for paranormals, is just what the doctor ordered. For once she’s choosing lust over love.

Tall, dark, and oh-so-handsome werewolf Grayson West is well versed in the arts of war and women. He’s got one week to blow off some steam before he heads back into the field and he’s more than willing to help a lady find her inner vixen.

Especially when she’s the same beautiful blue eyed vamp he met one hundred years ago and has never been able to forget. They were once sworn enemies, pulled apart by war. Now they’re lovers. But history has a way of rearing its ugly head and their new relationship will have to stand up to the test of loyalty, friendship and even time itself.

Warning: includes a sexy werewolf, a slightly exhibitionist vampire, hot beach sex, seductive sex against a palm tree, and a scorching hot 100 year old romance in the making.

An action movie buff with a penchant for all things supernatural and sexy, Selena Blake combines her love for adventure, travel and romance into steamy paranormal romance. 1. Hi Selena, congrats on the new book! You are a new to me author, so I can’t tell you any of those things. But yes to all your questions. I read, I review, I re-read the good ones, and I keep them all 🙂
